Matt & Lynsey become The Grady's! 400 Saint Andrews Greenville North Carolina Wedding

Matt lived right up the road from the house Lynsey was born in so they were practically neighbors. He apparently rode his bike up and down her street all the time, but funny enough never did they meet til fast forward 20 years later through a “group of friends” they finally started hanging out. Finally one night Matt worked up the nerve and told Lynsey he had feelings for her and really ever since then they’ve been inseparable. Matt says he fell in love with Lynsey because of my sense of humor, positivity, and kindness and her ass. She fell in love with Matt because he’s very passionate, caring, and from their ability to talk all night about anything.  You could see how much love he had for her just from what he put in his vows, he knew they were meant to be together all along, just a few times after meeting her. You can tell these two are literally are best friends, they do everything together and absolutely hate being apart and that are super ridiculously corny with each other which was a blast to photograph.
Being a part of their day was amazing to be able to not only be in the Bridal Party but also be one of my best friends wedding photographer was stressful but also absolutely amazing. I couldn't be happier to finally see these two wed, I feel like I have been waiting way too long for that day!

Corey & Kim become the Everett's! Pactolus Baptist Intimate Church Wedding

Corey & Kimberly met in highschool one Cold January day in the lunch room and their lives changed from that moment on. These two have been inseperable ever since I remember taking Kim's senior photographs and hearing her talk about him & just knowing that these two were going to last. I'd be photographing their wedding in no time.
Well it took a little time but, 2 careers and a place of their own later they have done it. And to top it all off it was everything they imagined it would be. The focus of everything was their love. Nothing else. Every little detail was a nod to their love story.

Pactolus Baptist Church was Kim's childhood church and had a huge emotional meaning to both her and Corey so tying the knot there just seemed perfect. &it was, the tiny quaint Church was the perfect setting for their intimate emotion filled day.

The flowers and Decor were done by the Bride's Mother & Fling of Flair Florist Carol Mills
The Catering was done by the amazing GK Catering.
The Venue was the Beautiful and intimate Pactolus Baptist Church
The Brides Dress was found at David's Bridal & altered by Ava's in Washington
The Cake was made & decorated by the wonderful Terry Mills with Tasty & Sweet

True Love isn't always pretty : Truthful Thursdays on a Friday cause that is life...

I get a lot, I hope I find a love like you & Joe.
You guys are perfect.

Well Thanks but seriously. BLAH.
I do love the man more than anything but really, nothing is perfect.
It just takes work. & lots of it. Compromise & conversations not arguements.
Talk people you'll realize most problems can be fixed that way.
It's giving up things you may want so they can have things they want.
It's knowing that sometimes someone has to lose, & being okay with that someone being you.
Not just in the arguements that do happen but in opportunities throughout life & obstacles.
It's you making coffee & them pouring it.
It's knowing that you are their Forever & ever & they are your ever & ever. It's the little things, so cliche but really.
If I had one piece of advice, it would be when given the choice of you or them if you aren't always choosing them, you are doing it wrong. With the right person, they are always choosing you too and it just equals out. You love one another so much choosing yourself doesn't seem like an option. It's beautifully terrifying.
The Highs don't seem so high til you look back on them and the lows always seem lower when you are in them, but they each matter and will all make your relationship better.
When things are hard & days are long, take time.
We cherish our morning coffee together as we feed Phoenix breakfast.
We cherish the 20-30 minutes of reading in bed together before we go to sleep.
We cherish the snuggles while we sleeping & lets be truthful , the amazing sex
HAVE SEX people. Its good for your health and your marraige & stop being weird about it.

Most of all stop trying to be other people. The "perfect" couples you see , all have their own issues. Because all relationships do. Life is fucking hard and having someone with you is amazing but guess what? It's still hard so don't expect shit to be easy and there to be no obstacles cause you are day dreaming and it won't get you far in your relationship or in life.
& that is that for my first Truthful Thursdays!

Amy & Alex are Tying the Knot & We get to capture it! Freaking stunning engagement sesh enclosed!

OH Amy & Alex.
You know when you meet someone and you are just like YASSSSSS. Well that was me when I met Amy. Amy met me on a day when I was randomly in Greenville, she was so sweet & amazing , I had my little boy with me and she loved him up and acted like we had beenfriends forever & believe me we are now. I didn't get to meet Alex that day but with the way Amy swooned over him when telling me all about their love story.
From the cute living next to eachother in college experiences to their time together since & their big day to come!
Finally, I was able to meet Alex. Grooms are always hit or miss haha, they usually don't really care to much about the details and really about the photos! So me winning them over can be a task though I am pretty hilarious so they end up loving me by the end. BUT , ALEX. OH my gosh Alex. This guy is the ish hahaha,  he laughed at my jokes and came back with his own he answered my sarcasm with sarcasm and truthfully it was just a relaxed natural amazing engagement session because once he did the stress of the day went away from Amy and believe me she had had a stressful day. But the moment Alex cracked some jokes and nuzzled up on her Amy was all happiness smiles and excitement.

I really couldn't ask for a better couple, to keep me on my toes and my wit on my tongue. Their Wedding day is going to be an absolute blast for everyone involved & believe me I can't wait to capture all of the love games that they play :D

What your Wedding Viel choice says about you!

What your Wedding Viel choice says about you!

Shoulder Length Veil: This veil is fun and not over the top. If you're wanting to stay traditional by choosing to wear a viel but don't want it to hide any details or your gown this is the choice for you, it is also easily flowing and won't hinder movement like longer viels may. This flirty option is definitely fun, and playful.

Elbow Length Veil:  Is one of my favorites! it is the perfect amount of traditional and does a great job accentuating all aspects of a bride, from her face to her dress and her cinched waist and her gorgeous hairstyle. It is a wonderful embellished touch that is also a nod to traditional aspects. This viel says traditional in every aspect.

Birdcage Veil: This Style is worn mostly by vintage , pin up , old timey styled brides, the birdcage veil is the perfect add on to perfect the look. Paired with a bold lip and vintage jewelry, the birdcage accentuates your wedding day style in just the right way.  This viel usually makes a bold impression! The birdcage veil does sit at a level right by your eye so you want to make sure you find one that will fit and sit perfectly!

Ballet Veil:  These veils will stop somewhere  between your fingertip level and the floor. This is an ideal length for all of those wind swept pictures, They are often very sheer and can easily show off the details of the gown ( you probably paid lots of money for) to everyone as you walk down the aisle. These viels are stunning and speak elegance but also simplicity in most cases.

Chapel Veil: A chapel length veil is a viel that screams elegance and draws eyes right to it. Its small train that follows behind as you walk creates beautiful movement and attention. Chapel viels are usually for Brides who are very dedicated to the tradition of a viel and want this to be a focus of their ceremony.

Cathedral Veil: The BIG  ONE!  Cathedral viels are extremely long and beyond gorgeous but also extremely hard to keep straight or perfect while walking down the aisle let alone when you have to turn to your groom, walk up stairs or walk back after the ceremony. It is a more traditional viel but also an ATTENTION demander for sure. They are usually very detailed and draw more attention to the view instead of the bridal gown. Most Brides remove the viel after portraits and before the reception even begins.
