Anna & Christian : Jefferson North Carolina : Mountain view & Flower field Engagement Session

These two adorable little love birds gave me the pleasure of photographing them in an adorable field of floweres and mountain views. Full of laughter jokes, and a few trips from me being super excited about a shot or something super cute they were doing and then the results were some gorgeous photos.

Heres what Anna had to say about their love and their sesh with me!
“Christian and I fell in love hard and fast. From the moment that we met, we knew that we’d be in each other’s lives forever. My partner. My best friend. My soulmate. My lover. My protector. He has always done his best to give me everything that I could ever need, and I wouldn’t give up our future together for the world. We’re always looking for ways to spice up our relationship, and doing a portrait session with Brii was just amazing for us! We were a little nervous to be so intimate in front of someone else, but Brii is fun to be around and makes you feel super comfortable. We started our session and she helped us just fall into our natural intimacy, and for a few moments, we honestly forgot that she was there. The session was a bonding experience for us, and we came out of it with some super sexy pictures that we will adore for the rest of our lives. We will definitely be working with Brii in the future.”

Jacob & Katie : The Virginia Distillery Co. Engagement Session

When jake and Katie called me and told me their epic ideas for their session I was completely on board and so so so excited. Though these epic plans took place almost 5 hours away. From everything going wrong that day, forgetting my purse , running out gas the thing that went completely right was this session. These two came and saved me and then on top of it all bought be a hard one. Cause gosh did I need a drink after my morning !

But once we started shooting everything was absolute perfection. The distillery was the perfect bad ass spot for these two and they rocked it in a full suit and gown. Looking absolutely mesmerizing and the looks made for epic one of a kind high class engagement photos. I encourage dressing up to my clients but these two went above and beyond and nailed it.

the Virginia Distillery Company was completely accomadatong and gorgeous. The views and ground were beautiful on this fall day and the tour was wonderful. We then moved on to the Bold Rock brewery where we photographed a more lax casual and fun look on the river. The whole day was filled with funny jokes laughter and fun and I cannot wait for their wedding day and to see these two perfect people we’d. I am so happy they chose me to be a part of their day and to be able to get to know such a great couple who has so much fun is the best part of it all.

Jordan & John: New River & Rock exploring Rain enduring Engagement Session

Jordan & John were literally one of my favorite couples ever to photograph.
They gave me complete control & artistic reigns, but they wanted one thing. Fun.

Not completely posey and forced. Well luckily for them I don’t do forced. I do laughter, jokes, alcohol and obscenities.
Jordan & John were the perfect couple to deal with my craziness. We hiked a little bit in the pouring rain, we popped a beer and chatted about them and their lives, current & future, We even got in a river in the rain and had a blast.
This engagement session was a dream. From beginning to end, and the results are just as well.
I can’t wait to see these two wed this winter.
It’s not often I find people are quirky as me, or as fun but these two kept right up and that tells me how perfect they are for one another!

Jake & Maya : Upstate New York Proposal: North Carolina Wedding Photographer

I met Jake in either elementary or middle School school in upstate NY , meaning we've known each other for yearsssss. And he's one of the very few I stayed in touch with after graduating. As one of my best guy friends it's been amazing to watch each other's lifes unfold and still be a part of them. When Jake met Maya I knew something was up. I was visiting home and we were going out to dinner and he couldn't stop talking about her. Jake is the biggest toughy on the outside but legit has one of the biggest hearts. Luckily Maya was the one to steal it because she is literally perfection for him. Their cute awkwardness and ridiculous love for the country and outdoors amazes me so when Jake called me and asked me if I'd be visiting NY June 19th sadly I said no. I was going to be in Canada from the 9-15 there was just no way I could get up there to see him. Then he dropped the ball. "I'm going to propose and I was hoping you would pphotograph it for me." Gah. Fuck Jake. Woe me. So I said yes of course and we got a plane ticket lined up for me to leave the 17th at night . 2 hours before my flight American airlines canceled it with no new flight for 2 days. I was livid and stressed and worried. But I jumped in the car loaded phoenix in and we drive to NY overnight. Hitting all the traffic a 10 hour drive took 16 hours. But the morning of the 19th I woke up as giddy as could be and drove to where he'd pop the question. At Maya's aunt's beautiful horse stables. Hiding in a building across form the stables I sat on cinder blocks and waited then with a "were coming " text I laid down in the dirt behind a horse jumps thingy and proceeded to wait 40 minutes while Maya and Jake prepped the horses for a ride. Finally they walked with the horses side by side out of the stables and Jake stopped Maya. She thought something was wrong with the horses but when she looked back at Jake after looking at her horse he was already down on one knee. Being able to not only watch this moment but capture it for them forever was one of the greatest feelings. The surprise and utter happiness on Maya's face was beyond worth all the ridiculousness it took to get there and I would do it all over again for these two if I had to . I can't wait for them to tie the knot and to watch the rest of their lives together unfold .
