The Flohn Wedding : Michael & Joan : Foothills Performing Arts Center : Oneonta NY

Michael & Joan tied the knot on October 14th at the beautiful First United Methodist Church in Oneonta NY. Choosing to get married in October in upstate NY, is the best decision any bride can make in my opinion. The colors are beautiful, the temperature is perfection, & the weather usually is too! Everything about Joan & Michael's day was perfect including them.
Joan & Michael met in Buffalo, at work. When Joan first met him Michael couldn’t stand him. They were on the same “team” at work, so she had to be around him. After being around him they really just clicked. Same sense of humor, always joking around, (Joan convinced their entire office his real name was Gary ) he liked old school hip hop & rock music & they just vibed. They became best friends. Texting all day,
Phone calls on the way to work and home from work. And as their friendship developed, so did their feelings. They fell in love without even knowing it was happening. Eventually they decided to officially date & here they are now! Absolutely PERFECT!
These two were willing to drive a bit to a new location for gorgeous shots, put enough time so we didn't have to rush, and whether it be rain or shine, they were prepared for it all and were willing to do whatever it took to have stunning photos of their big day, while still giving me full artistic control.
They didn't bat an eye when during their reception I would say guys "I have an idea" or " lets try this", they were up for it all! From decor to flowers, the beauty in the design of their wedding was simplisticly beautiful on a level I hadn't seen before. Fresh lavender in the napkins and lavender accents all around set the perfect view and mood for their night!
When Joan messaged me about shooting her wedding I was beyond ecstatic. I have known Joan since middle school & watching her relationship with Mike since the beginning had been wonderful. Excitement is too small of a word to describe what being a part of their big day was to me! To know she loved my work enough and valued me enough to choose me for their day meant so much & then to provide them with these images means that much more!
